Watertightness performance of face-sealed versus drained window-wall interfaces

Several research studies have identified window-wall interfaces as one of the major sources water ingress through building envelopes. Window-wall can either be sealed by means face-sealed or drained sealing systems. In general, it is assumed that show an improved rainwater resistance compared to interfaces.
